Clean Rooms

The place usually used in the manufacturing of pharmaceutical products, doing research works and much more. Clean room has a low level of pollutants and the height of contamination is controlled. This place is free of dust, microbes, chemical vapors and many other pollutants that may harm the products that are being manufactured. Manufacturing of pharmaceutical products is mostly done in clean rooms. These rooms are very clean and the products manufactured will be contamination free and safe to use. Vacker India supplies different types of clean rooms according to the need of researchers and manufacturers in many important cities of India like Dammam, Riyadh, Al Khobar, Jeddah, Jubail, Medina, Najran, Mecca and Khamis Mushayt.

American Physicist Willis Whitfield discovered the current clean room. He designed the clean rooms in such a way that the air flow that comes in is filtered and contains no impurities. Clean rooms are very spacious and huge so that every kind of inventions and research that can’t be done outside can be performed here. Full construction work can be done in this room which covers an area of thousands of square feet. Biotechnology, the study of life sciences, manufacturing of semiconductors, and many other fields that are responsive to contamination caused by environment use these clean rooms. The air that enters the clean room is highly filtered which eradicates dust and harmful particles to enter the room. The wastage that is formed inside the room while conducting research work is removed internally.

Airlocks are made that are used for entry and exit of people. The people who are supposed to work in the clean rooms need to wear special clothes to protect themselves like coveralls, masks, gloves etc. Special equipment, mops and buckets are used to keep the room clean and free from foreign objects. The furniture is also designed in such a way that there is a minimum production of dust and is easy to clean. If foreign object enter the room, they can be detected using particle or foreign object detector.

Clean rooms are not free from uncontrollable microorganisms, so we cannot say that clean rooms are sterile. Particle counter and microorganism detector are used to detect foreign objects in the room. Paper, pencil and fabrics that are made from fibers are not permitted to use in clean rooms. Clean rooms are generally systemized to control humidity and to prevent electrostatic discharge. These rooms are well equipped and have all equipment that are mostly unlikely to produce any particles.

The clean rooms that are not for high research work and of low level only require special smooth sole shoes. Such low-level clean rooms do not require air shower in the entrance. The suits that are worn during the research or manufacturing process are kept in the gray room. Special safety measures are needed to be followed while working in the clean rooms. Certain rules are made to maintain the sterility of the room.

Air flow Principles

Clean rooms are kept particulate-free. Laminar air flow systems are used. This system directs the filtered air in horizontal and downward direction. The laminar system helps clean room maintain constant air flow. Laminar air flow filters are constructed with the help of stainless steels. These filters prevent particles present in the air to enter the clean room. Severe guidelines are ensured in order to keep pharmaceutical products dust free. There are many other rules that are to be followed to keep the air dust and particle free. Vacker India provides different types of clean rooms in regions across India such as Dammam, Riyadh, Al Khobar, Jeddah, Jubail, Medina, Najran, Mecca, Khamis Mushayt, etc.

Personnel Contamination of Clean Rooms

Control of microorganisms in pharmaceutical sector is important. Microorganisms that are generally shredded from the skin should be eradicated in clean rooms. The microbiologists need to study about various plants and small contamination can mislead them. Clean rooms are the effective places where these research works can be held with minimum or no contamination of foreign bodies.

Clean Room Classification and Standardization

Classifications of clean rooms are done according to the number of particles or foreign bodies permitted in per volume of air. To determine the application of airborne particles, distinct airborne particle counter is used. Size and numbers are determined in chosen locations. Clean rooms are being upgraded and standardized. Vacker India ensures that the filters used in clean rooms are improved by using new technologies so that the sterility can be maintained.
